Urban excavator and compact track loader used for property groundwork

Demolition Contractors Charlotte NC

From houses and larger structures to sheds, slabs and retaining walls, we handle demolition with debris haul-off. Tell us what needs to go, what must stay and how you plan to use the space.

A residential demolition contractor for your project

Our residential demolition work ranges from a full house teardown to removing a detached structure that is in the way. We serve Charlotte and surrounding North Carolina communities, along with nearby areas across the state line. Debris haul-off is part of the scope.

For commercial demolition, send the location, the structure involved and the plans for the property. Access, neighboring uses and whether a business remains open nearby all affect how the job is planned.

  • House and building demolition: define the full structure to remove and any connected areas that must remain.
  • Garage demolition and shed removal: account for adjacent fences, trees, driveways and utilities.
  • Concrete demolition: include the slabs, footings or retaining walls that need to come out.
  • Interior demolition and selective removal: identify the exact tear-out boundaries and the parts that stay.

Before the teardown

  1. Set the removal boundaries

Walk through what is coming out and what must stay. Include foundations, attached features, buried structures you know about and anything you want to salvage. A complete removal plan needs to cover the ground below the structure as well as what is visible above it.

  2. Resolve the pre-start requirements

We discuss the permits, utility disconnections and material assessments that must be addressed before the teardown begins. Where surveys, notifications or specialist removal are required, those steps need to be scheduled ahead of the main crew. Do not treat a switched-off appliance or an unused meter as confirmation that a service is disconnected.

  3. Plan access and protection

Allow for machine access, loading space and the route used to carry materials out. Nearby homes, retained structures, pedestrian routes and neighboring drives affect the sequence. For business premises, identify occupied areas and access that must remain available while the work is underway.

Debris removal and the next phase

Our scope includes loading and hauling away the resulting debris. The estimate should also identify the condition you need left behind: a cleared footprint, removal below ground level or further preparation for the next use.

Concrete below a structure can be a separate part of the removal decision. Tell us whether an existing slab or foundation is staying, being partly removed or coming out entirely. That choice affects the work, disposal and any backfilling that follows.

  • Material included: distinguish the resulting debris from stored belongings or unrelated waste already on the lot.
  • Below-ground features: identify known foundations, buried services or other obstacles so they can be addressed in the scope.
  • Future use: establish what the next trade needs, including access, levels and any specified fill or compaction requirements.

We can discuss land clearing, grading and site preparation alongside removal. These stages should be agreed together when the same area will be reshaped or used for a new project. Finishing removal does not automatically mean the ground meets the requirements of a future structure.

What goes into your quote?

Demolition pricing depends on more than floor area. Materials, attachments, access and the amount to be hauled away all influence the price. A detailed demolition quote should make the removal limits and the finished condition clear.

  • The structure: size, height, construction materials and how it connects to anything being retained.
  • The surroundings: access restrictions, neighboring structures and room for machines and loading.
  • The removal depth: whether concrete slabs, footings or other below-ground elements are included.
  • Load-out and disposal: material volume, separation needs, truck access and any special handling identified before work.

When comparing companies, ask each demolition contractor to explain the scope, and look at relevant work and reviews. Estimates can look similar while leaving different jobs for the owner or the next contractor. We offer free estimates and review the proposed work before scheduling; share photos, plans and the address to get started.

Questions about our company

Can you remove the slab or foundation too?

Yes. Slab and foundation removal can be included with the teardown or assessed as a separate job. Tell us what should stay and the intended use afterward so the removal limits and follow-on work are agreed before demolition starts.

Can you remove only part of a structure?

Send photos or drawings showing the part to remove and what must remain. Attachments, structural connections and retained services affect whether a partial tear-out is suitable and what preparation it needs. We review those details before agreeing on the approach.

What information do you need for an old pool?

For pool demolition, include the shell type, surrounding hard surfaces, access and how you want to use the area afterward. Removal, drainage, backfill and compaction need to be considered together. A future structure can require a different finish from an area intended for planting.

What about permits and asbestos?

The requirements depend on the address, structure and scope. Check the relevant county or municipal process and any required material assessment or notification before setting a start date. Suspected asbestos should be assessed before it is disturbed, with qualified specialists handling regulated removal where required.

How long will removal take?

Size, materials, access, approvals and disposal all affect the schedule. Demolition of the visible structure is only one stage; preparation and loading can also take time. We discuss the sequence after reviewing the property rather than promise the same turnaround for every job.

Who will I speak with about the work?

David Kravchenko leads the company, handles estimates and oversees the work. Contact our team with the location and photos; we’ll call or text within 24–48 hours to discuss your demolition request.
